Where has the time gone

Almost a year since I've started this blog and never made any more entries.  We have been so busy and I just never seemed to get around to it.  

Starting today I have renamed my blog to include the whole family and the GQ a.  All I can say is let the good times roll.

May 23, the day I brought Kappy home

I arrived at the prison at (;45 am, wasn't supposed to be there until 10:15, but I was to excited to see my dog.  I had to wait for 6 weeks while Kappy was being trained by an inmate.At 10:30 we all that were picking up dogs had to go through a 2 hr presentation on our dogs and what to expect and how to continue their training.  Our dogs were finally brought up to us from Trinidad where they had been trained and we got to pick them up.  Once we received our dog we had to go behind fenced areas to go through a command training with our dog.  The head trainer Debi used Kappy as the example for the entire class.  She told me that Kappy was on phenominal dog and that if she hadn't already had 4 labs at home she would have taken Kappy for herself.
Oh maybe around 1:30-2:00 I finally got Kappy home.  Kappy ran to every place he could sniffing and checking out his new home.  He was so cute I was in love.  Kappy was going to be my forever dog.
